Commissioner General of Expo 2030 Riyadh Heads the Saudi Delegation at the BIE Executive Committee meeting in Paris

Paris, France: His Excellency Adel Al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Council of Ministers, Climate Envoy, and Commissioner General of Expo 2030 Riyadh, headed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delegation to Paris, participating in the Executive Committee meeting of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), the intergovernmental organization in charge of overseeing and regulating World Expos. The delegation presented the latest developments and milestones shaping the progress of this unprecedented event. 

The delegation briefed BIE Executive Committee members and meeting participants on the latest updates and achievements in the journey toward delivering Expo 2030 Riyadh, emphasizing accelerating infrastructure and construction progress on-site, developments in master planning as well as concerted communications and marketing efforts to raise awareness of Expo 2030 Riyadh domestically and internationally.

The delegation also highlighted the growing number of international participants, with a significant number of countries already confirming their participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh. This strong response reflects the sustained global confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability to deliver an exceptional and unprecedented World Expo, as envisioned by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. It also underscores the Kingdom’s global influence and its vital role in facilitating international collaboration and contributing to a better future for all.

The BIE Executive Committee meeting comes at a time of rapid delivery momentum across the Expo 2030 Riyadh site, with construction activities well underway, in addition to the continued rollout of enabling infrastructure works that will support a lasting legacy that extends beyond 2030. In parallel, the main theme and sub-themes have been further developed, reinforcing Expo 2030 Riyadh’s positioning as a convening platform, bringing together 197 nations to explore innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
