Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) and Expo 2030 Riyadh today announced the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that establishes a strategic framework for collaboration to promote Saudi Arabia’s unique tourism offering and attract visitors to Expo 2030 Riyadh.

The MoU has been signed by Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO and Member of the Board of the Saudi Tourism Authority, and Talal AlMarri, CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, the official organizing entity mandated to lead the planning, development, and delivery of Expo 2030 Riyadh throughout its entire life cycle.

The agreement outlines a joint commitment to develop mechanisms to attract visitors to Expo 2030 Riyadh, promote Saudi Arabia’s tourism potential in key international markets, and align marketing and communication strategies to highlight Saudi Arabia as a world-class destination. The partnership also aims to enhance the visitor journey through coordinated event planning, tourism product development, and data-driven collaboration, ensuring Expo 2030 Riyadh serves as a lasting catalyst for the sector’s growth well beyond the event itself.

Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO and Member of the Board of the Saudi Tourism Authority, said: “The MoU with Expo 2030 Riyadh embodies our shared commitment to welcoming the world to discover the authenticity of Saudi Arabia, the diversity of its destinations, and the hospitality of its people. Through this collaboration, we align our visions and jointly advance efforts to ensure that Expo 2030 Riyadh becomes a key milestone in the development of the tourism sector and a launchpad for achieving its objectives in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.”

Talal AlMarri, CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, said: “The MoU with the Saudi Tourism Authority represents a strategic step that reflects our integrated approach to unifying efforts and maximizing shared impact in delivering an exceptional edition of the World Expo. We look forward to working closely with the STA team and leveraging its expertise in attracting visitors to enhance the visitor experience and strengthen interest in Expo 2030 Riyadh, further cementing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global destination.”
