The International Participants Meeting (IPM) is a formal meeting between Expo organisers and potential participants, ensuring timely coordination, participant onboarding, and successful event delivery.

The inaugural IPM marks a defining moment for Expo 2030 Riyadh, giving delegations and the Bureau International des Expositions a clear view of the journey ahead.

Two days in Riyadh

Over two days, the IPM will bring together participating countries, international organisations, commercial sponsors, and key stakeholders for 18 hours of sessions across four agenda topics.

Agenda: Two days, four themes

Vision, Theme, Legacy & Masterplan

Day 1 begins with the official opening of the First International Participants Meeting, with the participation of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), followed by an official group photo bringing together participating delegations and key Expo representatives.

Key focus areas include:

◇ Expo 2030 Riyadh’s vision and journey toward 2030
◇ Foresight for Tomorrow and its sub-themes
◇ The Expo’s long-term legacy
◇ The masterplan, pavilion distribution and participant offerings

 

The day will also provide participants with an opportunity to experience the Expo 2030 Riyadh site first-hand and gain greater insight into its development and future delivery.

Participation Planning & Riyadh Readiness

Day 2 focuses on supporting participants as they advance their planning and preparations for Expo 2030 Riyadh.

Key focus areas include:

◇ Review delivery progress, timeline and the journey toward 2030
◇ Provide guidance on theme and design guidelines to support the development of participant pavilions and experiences
◇ Introduce the Participant Portal and key tools to support the participation
◇ Highlight Riyadh’s preparations, infrastructure, transport and overall readiness to welcome participants and visitors

 

The day will conclude with a review of key next steps, followed by a visit to one of Riyadh’s landmark destinations and the official Gala Dinner

The 1st International Participants Meeting (IPM) will take place on 3–4 November 2026 at Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
